The Truck Driver position is an Extra Board, Union position with no guarantee of hours. You must be able to work any shift. There is no set schedule. Your days/shifts change according to need. Hours can drop significantly during the winter months. Once you gain seniority, you may then receive a set schedule or “bid”.
It is a physical position requiring heavy lifting and moving of product. Approximately 10% of runs are overnight. Frequent Friday and Sunday night runs as well as food service delivery.
This position starts at $17.60 with benefits outlined below.
BENEFITS FOR TRUCK DRIVERS:
Eligibility begins after 4 months of 80 hours per month for medical. Eligibility begins after 5 months of 80 hours per month for Dental and Vision. URM pays 100% of the premium for employee, spouse and dependants. The current value of the benefit equates to $4.24 per hour.
Disability Insurance
URM pays 100% for disability insurance. This benefit provides $150/week from 1st day of disability due to an accident and from the 8th day due to sickness. Payments continue up to a maximum of 26 weeks.
Life Insurance
URM pays 100% for life insurance. This benefit provides $5000.00 worth of coverage.
URM contributes $4.46 per hour for all straight time worked or compensated.

Warehouse Buying Privilege
Employees have the availability to purchase
their groceries at member cost either right off the shelf at the URM Cash &
Carry Store or in case quantities from the warehouse.
